Thy labour of our heroes...: My first article on Facebook!

I could remember vividly when i was still in primary school. Reciting the National Anthem was what we loved most during the general assembly in the morning. We always wanted it, believe me, it was awesome. We would recite it and pray it never ended but to our disappointment, it always ended and the next day, we did it again.

I could still remember as though it happened just recently how I loved raising my voice when we reached ".... THY LABOUR OF OUR HERO PAST SHALL NEVER BE IN VAIN''. I was always happy yet i didn't even know what it meant. But actually, as innocent and sharp my brain was [as a child] i stored up every bit of it and was anxious to know what it really mean.

Our past heroes and heroines has done wonders to get us here. They have sacrificed a lot to see that we got the necessary things as freeborn to live. As visionaries, they laid the foundation on which not their mansion will be on it but the progress of humanity, the progress of NIGERIANS, the progress of YOU and I.

I was stunned  when a friend told me he wanted to go into politics with the aim of getting a cut of the NATIONAL CAKE, it's embarrassing. Most times, THE YOUTHS OF TODAY STRIVE TO ACQUIRE THE PRODUCT OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE PAST WITHOUT QUEST TO PROVIDE WITH THEIR KNOWLEDGE THE PRODUCT FOR THE FUTURE .

This is not the time to blame someone, this is not the time to lament, Ken Kay jnr advised that, ''if you are upset over the things you don't have, you waste the ones you have''. But you have it all in you to be great, you have what it takes to realize that dream regardless of what people say you are, your handicap or your background [educationally or socially]. Nigeria is at a trying moment but John Kennedy remarked, ''don't ask what your country will do for you, ask for what you will do for your country''.

The absolute truth is that WE as the YOUTHS are great. It is now that life price is paid not later. Our heroes have laid a solid foundation for us; will their labour be in vain, will our contributions not worth their sacrifice, will they be proud of what we have become... the questions are numerous to write down.

You don't have to wait for another day, start now. I need you, WE need you, NIGERIA needs you. Many of us have started already, will you be left out while the wagon drives out


Remember, we made a promise to build a Nigeria, we pledged to serve this country, our MOTHERLAND with the best of our abilities, with the last of our strength. You have to start fulfilling that promise not for me, not for you but for US.

Together INDIVIDUALLY, with different ideas put together, Nigeria will reach to the zenith of success, the peak of peace and harmony. We are ONE regardless of our religion, our tribe, our culture, our gender... WE ARE ONE PROUDLY NIGERIA SO SHIINE!!!
