Book review: Law 11 of the 21 Irrefutable laws of leadership.

Law of the Inner Circle

INTRODUCTION:
"Every leader needs a team...a leader's potential is determined by those closest to him".

REVIEW:
From the start, the author dismisses the idea that when we see any gifted person, it's always believed that talent alone made him successful. He could as much say that, "talent alone can't make the best out of leadership, indeed a team is necessary for a leader to be effective and efficient".

Sadly but truthfully, he revealed, "...but when I boil down to its essence, I still see 21 things a leader must do well to lead effectively. However, at the same time, I also recognised that no single leader can do all 21 things well, that's why every leader needs a team of people".

He stretched on the importance of choosing the right people that forms the inner circle as giving some factors considered in making this choice. According to him, one important factor is checking how much excellence, maturity and good character is displayed in everything done by the individual. After which he advised to never stop improving our inner circle because one might ought to build his.

Concluding, he reminded us that, "only if you reach your potential as a leader do your people have a chance to reach their potentials".
In a nutshell, people's greatness are tied to leaders surrounding them...it all falls on leadership.
LESSONS:
1. Try building your inner circle (you can't cross a river by merely starring at it).
