Law of Magnetism

INTRODUCTION:
"Who you attract is not determined by what you want. It's determined by who you are".

REVIEW:
Many a time I see or hear leaders making a profile list of people they require their service. Wearing the veil of ignorance, I always taught it was the best way it's done until the author revealed the secret of the law of magnetism with just SIX words, "who you are is who you attract".

To widen this belief, the author listed and explained various characteristics which attracts people to a leader which are; generation, attitude, background, values, energy, giftedness, leadership ability.

He advised, "if you are dissatisfied with the leadership ability of the people you attract, then embrace the law of process and work to increase your leadership skill. If you want to grow the organisation, grow the leader...on the other hand, if you attract the people you like, take the next step in effective leadership. Work at recruiting people who are different from you to staff your weakness...".

As he concluded, he reminded us that the qualities we desire in people we attract does not depend on anything but US and advised that we develop in areas of character and leadership.

LESSONS:
1. Mentoring is an important factor in developing into a greater leader.
2. If you are already attracting the kinds of people you desire, then it's time to take your leadership to the next level.
